Standing On The Rock

I saw a picture of a roundish rock mound embedded in sand. There were many people who were standing all over the place. Suddenly the rock itself started shaking. The shaking affected even the sand that it was embedded in. Everybody on the rock and the sand started shaking and tumbling. Even those standing on the rock were shaking all over. As the rock shook harder, the people standing on the rock started falling over too. Only a few remained standing for they had built their foundations into the rock. As the rock shook, the shook also, but in rhythm with the rock. When all was finally still, these were the only ones still standing.

I beleive that the interpretation of this is that not everyone who stands on the rock will be able to survive the shaking. Only those that have their foundations in the rock will be able to stand.

Just because we call ourselves Christians doesn't mean we are going to be saved. We have to be in a living relationship with Him.

Matthew 7:21-23
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
